Department of Fishery Pathology

Introduction of the Department of Fish Pathology

Vietnam's seafood industry has been developing strongly, contributing significantly to the total export turnover of the country. Vietnam has been ranked in the list of the largest seafood exporting countries in the world. Along with the development of aquaculture technology, health management and disease prevention for cultured species play an increasingly important role in order to increase production and quality of aquatic products. Therefore, training in-depth knowledge on health and disease management in aquaculture for students is an urgent requirement. In order to meet this demand, Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh City established the Department of Fish Pathology in 2004.
