In terms of teaching, the Department plans to recruit 2-3 lecturers to replace the retired teachers. The Department and the Faculty have completed the AUN certification for the 'Aquaculture programme’ in 2022. The program framework and outcomes standards of the 'Aquaculture programme’ have also been developed and revised for the 'Aquaculture industry’ to meet the needs and requirements of stakeholders in the fisheries sector based on a wide range of opinions surveyed. Students learn theory combined with practical practice in a diverse and multi-scale modals . Every 2 years, the program framework there will be adjusted to always meet the needs and requirements of stakeholders and to develop sustainably and integrate in the specialized field of aquaculture.
Regarding scientific research, the Department and other departments ò the FoF implement the university's strategy to promote scientific research to achieve the goal of becoming a research university with international quality. The Department focuses on research in the direction of applying scientific and technological achievements to production practices to meet the goals of sustainable development and integration in the field of aquaculture including:
  1. Researching and applying technologies to serve in the aquatic seed production industry;
  2. Research and application of technologies in the field of nutrition, additives and probiotic products for aquaculture;
  3. Research and application of environmental management technologies, aquatic animal health and high quality products;
  4. Research and application of high-tech protocols in aquaculture, ect.
