The Department seeks to train the students leading to active engagement in the field of aquaculture through the lecture and practical training courses: Water Quality Management in Aquaculture, Aquatic Botany, Zooplankton and Benthos, Ichthyology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Physiology of Aquatic Animals, etc.

The Department also offers on-demand training courses as follows

• Water quality testing and management in aquaculture ponds.
• Identifying freshwater/marine water algae and invertebrates.
• Live food culture techniques for larviculture (algae, zooplankton, etc.).
